Wednesday 23rd April - Work on the greens
Treatment of the greens
We have not seen the normal "Spring flush" of growth across the course over recent weeks with very hot days followed by very cold nights. With the fluctuations in temperature the different types of grass we have on our greens has grown unevenly leading to bumpy greens over the last week.

To combat this on Wednesday 23rd April the Green Keeping team will be carrying out a programme of maintenance across all 18 greens. They will start by "Verti cutting" each green slicing through the grass to make it more uniform. They will then apply a layer of top dressing to stimulate growth, brush it in and then water the greens overnight.

All 18 greens should be completed in the day but we would ask that players respect the team carrying out the works and wait to be waved up by the green keepers before they play their shots to the green.
