Bottomless Brunch - Sunday 15th JuneOur next bottomless bbq brunch with live music is taking place on Sunday 15th June from 3 - 5 pm. Both bottomless brunches were full last year, so add your names fast to avoid missing out.

Disco Night - Friday 27th JuneFollowing the success of the last couple of year's events, we are running another disco night again this year. Peter dropped by for an Easter TreatThere was a damp start to Easter Sunday but grandchildren and children were not flustered as they dressed in their best Sunday outfits laced with bunny ears and baskets ready to be filled. We all remember the excitement of Easter Day which nowadays means eggs from parents, uncles, aunties, granddad and grandma, neighbours and even best friends bringing a huge supply of chocolate to be eaten slowly and not before dinner!! Sixty years ago you were surprised to one at all but got the odd Half a Crown if lucky.But there is nothing like finding the eggs supplied by the Easter Bunny and so it was at the Golf Club when fifty little hunters came prepared for the chase. Due to the starvation of the local seagulls, Peter could not hide his eggs at dawn, so The President’s daughter Amy, daughter-in-law Kate, Andy Brown and Jerry Rixon scattered the supplied eggs being madly pursued by the gulls, but thankfully survived.Immediately the wonderful children set off to search for treasured chocolate and were rewarded with eggs in their baskets. Hicko and granddaughter Margot, then distributed chocolate lollies and a strip of stickers to the really, well-behaved explorers. The twenty eggs in the raffle were spread around the jolly family groups and all was well with the world.Many thanks to Steen, Lucy and the girls for setting out the room where all were housed in happy family groups. Brilliant work.The children all were wonderful, in pink and tan and green,
Enjoying an Easter morning, to find eggs, yet to be seen,
Some were saved for later, to be treasured one by one,
Others eaten straight away, no remains, just gone.
Peter will be back next year, intent on mouths to feed
