Kirk Rosebowl Medal – Wednesday 23rd April
The second round of the Kirk Rosebowl Medal qualifiers took place in much improved conditions albeit still with a cool easterly breeze. A much bigger field of 112 players took to the latest qualifier.


Division One
Matthew Smith took the top spot with a gross 72 which gave a net 67, two shots clear of Greg Dymock.
Matthew going out in 37 and returned in a fine level par of 35with birdies at 3, 11 & 17.
Greg was out in 38 and also came with a fine level par of 35. Greg carded three birdies on his round at holes 8, 9&14.

 
Division 2
Steven Hardie took top spot with a gross 81 giving a net score of 67 beating Paul Wright who was second,two shots back on 69 after a gross score of 82.
Steven was out in 40 and return in 41 with a birdie at 11 and a costly double bogey at 17.
Paul went out in 46 but finished with a fine back nine of one over par 36.

 
Division 3
James Lawson took top spot with a net score of 69 beating Stuart Crookston on a scorecard countback.
James went out in 46 and returned in 40 for gross 86 net 69.Birdies at 15 & 17 on the card.
Stuart went out in 42 and returning in 43 for gross 85 net 69.Back 9 Proving costly despite birdies at 12 & 17.

Div. 3 Countback details for 1st place were.

Stuart Crookston 69 35 25 13   2nd
 

Four players managed to record a birdie on the 15th hole n the 2’s sweep.
