Violet Brown winner
The Violet Brown Trophy, the Old Course Friday 25th April 2025.
10 of our 2024 medal winners played in the annual Violet Brown competition on Friday on the Old Course.
It was a closely contested competition and the winner was Karen de Korte with an excellent score of nett 78.
Maggi Seymour was close on her heels in second place with a nett 80.
Ros Rentoul and Bev Brown got off to a ‘flying start’; Ros scoring an Eagle 3 and Bev a Birdie 4 on Hole 2!
It was a beautiful sunny day, but chilly. Everyone attacked the Front 9 but the wind was a real issue on the Back 9.
Afternoon tea in the St Rule Club was much appreciated by the players after their game.
