Captains' Day 2025
14th June 2025
CAPTAINS’ DAY, SATURDAY JUNE 14th
Come and join your Mens’ and Ladies’ Captains, Fraser Paris and Anne Rose, for a fun packed Captains’ Day on Saturday June 14th.
All members and guests are welcome!
The cost for the day is £23, plus any applicable green fees, and will include a goody bag, refreshments at the halfway house, a BBQ meal and plenty of prizes!
The competition will be played over 18 holes, with prizes for individual scores and team scores (best 2 scores to count on each hole and all 4 scores to count on par 3s).
There will also be prizes for nearest the pin (on two holes) and longest drive on the fairway (separate prizes for men and women), chipping and putting, ‘beat the pro’ and much more! There will be a sweepstake, raffle and plenty to do for everyone! It's always a great day! New for this year, you’ll be able to have lots of fun trying out a professional mobile crazy golf course from PuttPuttGolf!
The theme for the day is ‘Retro Golf’ - think about what you used to wear to play golf or what your parents or grandparents might have worn! There will be a prize for the best retro-dressed golfer and a chance to try out some golf clubs from a different era!
The golf will begin at 11am from the 1st and 10th tees, but remember to arrive early
enough to enter the sweepstake and have a go at the other activities before you play.
The BBQ meals will be available from 3 to 5pm and family members are welcome to buy tickets from reception staff, in advance before the day , if they would like to have a BBQ meal too.
Enter on HowDidIDo via ‘Booking’ - note that tee times from 13:00 will actually be from the 10th tee from 11:00. Please fill up the earlier times first and note that the captains may have to adjust the times if necessary; then enter the names of the people in your team on the Captains’ Day Tee Time Sheet in the clubhouse. If you’d like us to find you other players to join, please contact Fraser or Anne.
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE AT LEAST £23 CREDIT ON YOUR CLUBV1 ACCOUNT before entering.
All profits raised by Captains’ Day will be shared between the Captains’ charities: Crohn’s and Colitis UK and Pancreatic Cancer UK.
It’s sure to be a fabulous day!
