His 63 net saw him win by 3 shots on the day. Alex Shaw & Mark Hancock filled second and third with Paul Gawthrope in fourth to complete the play offs for the salver itself. Good luck Gents.
Sundays Betterball went the way of Paul Jones & Martin Pooley with a score of 43 points. Paul was also one of three players tied on 66 in the following days first Midweek Medal of the season. Adam Sapey,Danny Hoyle were 1st & 2nd respectively though with Paul taking 3rd.
The second qualifier took place the following Saturday with the Phillipson Betterball Medal. John Skidmore & Ellis Brown took first place with 58. Josh Duckmanton & James Mceleavey edged out Steve Cowley & Barrie Uttley for 2nd with a better back 9 with Alex Shaw & James Booth completing the line up for the play offs. Again, good luck in them.

A fairly quiet week ahead with the second Gents major on Saturday, the Walt Bailey Trophy, being the highlight of the week. A busier week next week though & I will return with news of that nearer the time.
