Golf Development Group Non-Handicap Cup 2025
The Golf Development Group (GDG) plays for 2 trophies each year, the first of which is the Wales Golf Non-handicap Cup. Seven players played for this Cup last Saturday, starting the day with a group breakfast followed by the traditional pre-competition photo. They all then enjoyed some laughs and friendly competition on a beautifully prepared course. The competition results were as follows:
1st - Helen Davies (no handicap but would have scored 26 stableford points).
2nd - Gillian Collins (no handicap but would have scored 25 stableford points).
3rd - Helen Locke-Edmunds (no handicap but would have scored 24 stableford points).
Thanks go to those providing excellent facilities on the course and in the clubhouse, to Pat Roblin as competition organiser and to Andrea Dudden, Barbara Phillips and Alex Jones for mentoring players on the day.
This year’s Golf Development Group (GDG), including the 5 players who could not enter on Saturday, looks to be as strong as ever. The players are all on the verge of their handicaps and will booking forward to competing in the prestigious Wales Golf GDG Handicap Cup later this summer with the final held on Finals’ Weekend.
