Ladies Club Championship
Summary
On Tuesday 27th May, the ladies played for the Fiona Edmund (Gross) & Jemma Jackson (Nett) trophies, their ladies championship. These trophies are 36 holes in one day and the ladies seem to have bad luck every year with the weather!
10 Ladies battled it out through a windy first round with some spectacular scores coming in from Claire Vaughan, Jemma Jackson, Sarah Fryer, with only 3 shots separating them going into round 2. The rain started before the ladies walked to the tee and only stopped when having some Prosecco in the bar afterwards. An amazing achievement for all ladies who completed the challenge of 36 holes in the torrential rain, especially new lady member Kirsten Hansen.
Claire Vaughan took home the Championship for her 4th time with a total gross score of 164 after a lovely eagle on the 18th. Jemma Jackson won her own trophy with a total nett score of 133 with Caroline Gard in second place 148.
