We are in the process of drawing up a formal social media policy aimed at creating a set of good practice guidelines for employees, members and guests.
Part of this includes the sharing of images and information.
As an immediate and important step we request the following :
1. Anyone taking photos of club activities that they plan to post on the club’s social media accounts MUST first check with the individuals in the photograph that they agree to being included. It is also incumbent on the individual to make clear if they do not wish to be included at the time the photographs are taken.
2. Members who do NOT wish to be included in any social media posts and photographs can let the office know, and every effort will be made to accommodate this , but the actions outlined in item 1 above are more likely to be effective in accommodating individual preferences on an ongoing basis.
