Dear member,

June is one of the crucial months in the golfing calendar for the club and this year is no exception. There are a number of important competitions taking place culminating in the Club Championships for men and Tailby Trophy for the ladies over the last weekend of the month, 28th & 29th.

If your game is moving in the right directions and you are contemplating entering any of the competitions it would be advisable to read the attached update.

With the dry conditions we have been experiencing the last couple of months the ball is running and as such we believe the impact could be to broaden the field of possible / likely winners. The greens are coming on well and just as we have come to expect speeding up, making those championship pin positions even trickier.

Good luck to all, but above all enjoy your golf and remember it is only a game; to quote Payne Stewart "In the game of golf, you have to embrace the challenge and enjoy the process".
