Sedlescombe is a tricky course with more than its fair share of ditches, so local knowledge is a definite advantage. However, our ladies rose to the challenge admirably, coming away with a hard-fought and excellent result: under the competition’s rules, a scoreline of 1.5-1.5 (one win, one loss, one half) means the away team takes the victory. So it was Dyke GC who edged it, progressing to the next round.
Flying the flag were Charlotte Hinge, Sandie Dearden and Jill Moss, each from a different handicap band, as the format dictates. A strong performance away from home.
Well done, ladies!
