The St Rule Club - Golf Section
2025 Club Championships
We had an exciting finish to our Club Championships on Friday evening 6th June. It was very close match on the Old Course between Jeanne Bell and Julie Otto, decided by the last putts on the 18th green.
Jeanne Bell is this year’s St Rule Club Champion. President Penny Newman-Carter presented the Inglis Cup to Jeanne in St Rule after the match as shown in the photo above. The Inglis Cup was presented by the family of Mrs Helen Inglis to the St Rule Club in 1994. Helen Inglis as Miss Helen Logan won the cup in 1911 as the winner of a knockout competition. Helen Inglis was Annie Ramsay’s grandmother – interesting to see the history and interconnection within The Club.
Thank you to all members who supported the players, on the 1st tee, walked round with the players and/or came into The Club after the quarter finals matches on Monday and the final on Friday. Thank you also to Simon who was the referee for the finals on Friday and to quarter finalists who caddied for their playing partners.
