Main Lounge
This Thursday 12th June, the Main Lounge has been booked to host a funeral reception so it will be unavailable for general use from 11:00am onwards. Please use other areas of the clubhouse.
However, I should inform you that there is a Seniors Team home match on Thursday vs Easter Moffat GC (first tee 10:00am) and they will having their post-match tea in the Members Lounge area during the afternoon. Please make allowances for our Seniors Team and their guests from Easter Moffat. Your understanding is appreciated.
Team News
Our Seniors Team is currently having a 'winning' season, with victories against Kirkhill (4-1 Home) and Calderbraes (5-0 Home), only losing narrowly at Easter Moffat (1.5-3.5). These big wins are important as last season the entire league was decided on 'points difference'.
On Thursday, our Gents Team also has a home match vs East Kilbride GC and our Juniors have a match at Drumpellier GC - both teams are currently enjoying successful seasons.
The Ladies Team secured a 2-1 victory vs Colville Park GC last week and their next match is on Sunday 22nd June at Crow Wood GC.
We wish all our teams the best of success and enjoyable matches in their forthcoming fixtures. Supporters are welcome.
Divoting
Volunteers are invited to assist with divoting the course on Tuesday 17th June, starting at 9:30am. This is a crucial task which supports the greenkeepers in maintaining our course at a high level. We're grateful to anyone who offers their services. Please meet outside the pro shop if you're able to help.
Hole-in-One
Congratulations to Seniors Captain Ken Hornsby on achieving a hole-in-one at the 4th during yesterday's Senior Medal: one bounce and in! The first of many, we trust.
Good luck to everyone taking part in our Professional's Day this Saturday 14th. Simon and his team work hard to put on an enjoyable event which is always great fun, whatever the weather.
Finally, the Ladies Centenary Trophy takes place on Sunday with various prizes for nearest the pin and long drives. Here's hoping for pleasant conditions.
