Vice Captain's – News of the week extra addition
Hire A Hero – Friday 6th June:
What a day this was! The captain’s Hire a Hero charity day was superb with almost 100 golfers taking part including myself. Our captain Alan Pook took charge and he didn’t disappoint, he even promised us good weather and we got that too. Best 2 scores from 4 was the format which everyone enjoyed. Well done to our captain for organising such a magnificent day and raising literally thousands of pounds for Hire a Hero charity.

Guest speaker Gordon Smith (Brighton Football Club 1980/83) was sooo good, he kept us entertained for a good half hour with some super stories and laughter.
Captain’s dinner choice was roast chicken on a bed of mash and delicious gravy with tons of vegetables on the side, followed by homemade apple crumble and then a cheeseboard, The SAS even put a very tasty bottle of port on each table to accompany the cheeses.

Thank you again to our captain for a smashing day.
