Seniors Notch Another Win
Home Advantage Shows
WCGC Seniors hosted a return match against Lanhydrock on Thursday 12th June. Early pairs teed off under grey skies and the threat of heavy downpours, and with the course already wet from earlier rain.

Despite an early setback from an opening loss, the team rallied with 3 points to take the lead. Solid performances from David Felce/Geoff Baylis (W3&2), Jeff Deakin/Kelvin Searle (W3&1) and Mark Adams/Andy Hussey (W4&2) set an early benchmark. With only 7 pairs in this fixture, WC Seniors needed just one more point from the remaining 3 matches to notch the win. This was duly delivered by Andy Hurrell/David Winks, who recorded a notable 6&5 victory against strong opponents. A final result of 4-3 gave the hosts a well earned home victory.

Well done to David Felce for chalking up another nearest the pin for WC Seniors, leaving a creditable 1.4m tap in!

Up next, a return home fixture against Trevose on 19th June.
