Heavy overnight rain continued in the morning resulting in the planned 36 Hole Club Championship Qualifier and Club Strokeplay Championship reduced to one round.
Greg playing in the final group and last tee time took full advantage of the best of the day's conditions.
A bogey at the 9th added to an outward 35.
However birdies at 11th, 13th and 15th-with no blemishes - put him in a great position.
A drive at the par 5 18th was followed by a six iron to the green and the 30 foot putt drained for an eagle three and tremendous inward nine of 31.
Greg was seeded one for the Club Championship match play stages and plays David Kernohan (76) who slipped in the draw after five players - Jas Donaldson , Alan Dryden -both 71 , Iain Macfarlane , Stewart McLellan and Ian Matthewson all on 75 were unavailable for the knock out stages.
The latter opting to play in the Senior Championship.
Roland Fleming was runner up on three under par 69 and seeded 2.
Roland had four birdies 2,7,13&18 and a solitary bogey at 9th . And will play young Adam Smith in round of 16.
Club Champion Mark Napier was 3rd on 70 and seeded 3. Mark was drawn against Lee Wilson.
John Colquhoun was seeded 4 after a 71 and faces Andy Malcolm on Monday evening.
Grieg McInnes will play regular playing partner and good friend Chris Forsyth.
