Weston v Seckford
Gorleston lose to Seckford
On Sunday 13th July, the team of Debbie Jary, Marie Norman, Paula Ledger, Pauline Phillips and Linda Atkins travelled to Seckford for their third game in the Weston, a ladies inter club league played of scratch.

With seven par threes on the course, two of which were under 100 yards in length, the advantage went to the home team of Seckford, where local knowledge was definitely worth a hole or two. Most of our ladies team had never played there before and we soon discovered that knowing where the hazards were and which parts of the course you needed to avoid at all costs was invaluable information.

The games were played in a great spirit but the Seckford ladies were the better team on the day, beating Gorleston by 3.5 to 1.5 in some closely fought matches.

Our next Weston match is on Saturday 19th July at home against Rushmere.
