Ladies Fundraising Open
£486 raised for the Captains Charity
Last Wednesday the Ladies' Committee ran their last Open of the year. This is the most important one as it is held purely for fundraising. All funds raised on the day will go towards Club Captain David Mills’ fundraising efforts to install glass balustrades on the patio.

We had a small field of 48 with 12 teams representing many different clubs.

The weather couldn’t have been better, a slight breeze, blue sky and sunshine. The course was truly magnificent once again. A huge thank you to Danny and the team for ensuring it was all tip top. Many compliments were received so please be very proud.

Many thanks to so many for all for your help and support on the day.

Anne our Ladies President with the help of Leigh, did a fabulous job with the selling of raffle tickets and “Rescue Kits” which raised £486 on the day. Thank you to all the ladies that kindly donated prizes.

Jackie, Lisa and Chris ran a fantastic half-way hut with home bakes which were appreciated by all.

Janette and Rosemary ran the day with superb organisation as always. Jane who welcomed the ladies. To Colin for arriving early to ensure refreshments etc. were out on the course as needed.

Past Captain Keith Wright who very kindly started the ladies off from the 1st tee.
The day finished with a 2-course carvery which was very much enjoyed by all. The catering and bar staff ensured all were fed and watered, thank you.

A special thank you to our Club Captain David Mills, our new GM Matthew and Jane in the office for their support too.
