WCGC Seniors hosted Newquay GC on the return leg of the fixture on Thursday 17th July and once again capitalised on home advantage.
Seniors Captain Dennis Fryer partnered with Club Captain Andy Hurrell made a strong start with a 5&3 win. This was followed by further points from Jeff Deakin/Ian Allsopp (3&2) and David Felce/David Winks (3&1). The visitors claimed the next two points before Vice Captain Tom Gair and Ryszard Zolkiewicz romped home with a convincing 8&6 win, closely followed by another from Fred Grist/Steve Blyth (3&2). The last pairing of Andy Wagstaff/Jim Sinclair-Smith added a further half point, giving WC Seniors an overall 5 1/2 - 2 1/2 victory.
Well done to David Winks for taking the nearest pin prize on 15th.
