Phil Fairbrother wins Thacker Cup
Phil Fairbrother won the Club Championship with a birdie at the first extra hole, in a 3-way play-off against John Morton and Paul Manning. All three carded 75's in benign conditions, following heavy rain that threatened to close the course. Thankfully the course was able to cope, and there was no standing water to contend with.
The nett prize was won by Paul Manning (55), from Rhys Mathias (58) and Graham Cason and Brian Falcus on 62.
Phil was presented with the Thacker Cup by men's Captain Richard Cousins.
