Newquay Away Success
The West Cornwall team were greeted with a team sheet, where between the 7 ladies- they were giving a total of 55 shots away to the Newquay team. However, they never let this bother them.
Pauline Clifton finished first on 15th hole with 4/3 win, closely followed by Ali Gessey and Mandy Dennison- both finishing on 16th hole with 3/2 wins.
Next to arrive in with an audience watching now was Chris Matthew’s also finishing with a win on 16th with a 4/2 win.
The ladies watched the next 3 pairs continue through towards the 18th hole.
However, Jo Body finished with a 3/1 win, Edwina Thomas with 1 Up win and Kim Pellow finished on 18th with a draw.
This was a magnificent result for the squad- now taking them up to joint second place in Division 2 with Looe, and just 1 point behind Perranporth.
