Well done to Mark Gallagher and Brad Gallagher from East Kilbride on winning the Seniors Open Pairs Better Ball. The course was in magnificent condition once again but a strong wind made conditions a little tricky though there were still some brilliant scores. Most of the scores were made on the back 9 thanks to the west wind.

In an extremely tight finish it was Mark and Brad who took top spot with a 64 which included 4 birdies. They were out in 34 but back in a fantastic 30 blows to win on countback. Also on 64 were Stephen Donald and Mark Cannon from Whinhills, Greenock. Stephen and Mark were out and back in 32. In third place were Joey Strickland (Harburn) and David Smith (Pumpherston) on 65 (35,32). A further shot behind on 66 were Harburn veterans Gary Sneddon and Scott Ramsay (34,32). In fifth place were William Kay (Harburn) and Brian Porteous (Dalmahoy).

Harburn would like to thank all participants for supporting the competition, some who had travelled a significant distance. We had 6 players from Broadway Golf Club based in the Cotswolds and 4 who had come over from Denmark. You were all very welcome and we hope to see you again next year.
