North Lanarkshire Schools Golf Championship
The North Lanarkshire Schools Golf Championship took place yesterday at Lochview GC, attracting a record 174 golfers.
Airdrie GC member Evan McAuley won the handicap competition with a nett 59 (87 scratch)! Outstanding!
Even better, Airdrie Golf Club members Daniel McLean, Jonathan Best, Murray Warnock and Evan combined to win the best team nett title for Airdrie Academy - retaining the trophy Evan, Daniel and Jonathan won last year.
Congratulations to Evan and the Airdrie Academy team on their victories, showing the strength of our junior golf section.
Hopefully this will inspire the team playing at Haggs Castle on Sunday in the semi-final of the Junior Team Golf Championship. We wish all our best to the Airdrie Golf Club Junior Team: Kyle Caskey, Ellie McManus, Daniel McLean, Lennon Caskey, Ewan McInnes and Jonathan Best.
