Golfer of the Year Update

With just the Creative Gardens Cup to be played next week end, the McAuliffe Electrical sponsored Golfer of the Year is coming to an exciting climax with 5 players left in contention to be crowned the 2025 Golfer of the Year.
Eddie Costelloe is making a late charge for the top spot. Third place in last week ends Vines Clubhouse Trophy gets Eddie to 20 points. As he has made it through to the Singles Matchplay final against Shane Halpin, with a guaranteed 12 points for the runner up the lowest total that he can end up with is 32 points. A victory in the Singles Matchplay final would take Eddie to 35 points.
Matt Evans & Darrell Smith both on 27 points , Geoffrey Coyne on 24 points & Niall Benson on 21.75 points are the other 4 players in contention & will need to feature next week end to be in with a chance of claiming the trophy.
