Daniel Redmond appointed as new Course Superintendent
Dear Members,

We are delighted to announce that Daniel Redmond has joined Killymoon Golf Club as our new Course Superintendent.
Daniel Redmond brings over 30 years of expertise in turfgrass management and agronomy, working at the highest levels of golf course presentation and development throughout Ireland. A BASIS-registered agronomist and former Institute of Groundsmanship UK Greenkeeper of the Year, Daniel has built a career defined by innovation, attention to detail, and a passion for creating outstanding playing conditions.

Daniel has managed leading venues including Castlehume Golf Club and Rossmore Golf Club, and, as Technical Amenity Sportsturf Director at James Coburn & Sons Ltd, he advised and supported numerous golf clubs including Killymoon and other sports facilities. His consultancy work has played a key role in major golf developments such as Lough Erne, Slieve Russell, Galgorm, Sandy Hills Rosapenna, and Roe Park, among others.

Specialising in tournament preparation, course construction, and strategic development, Daniel is recognised for his ability to elevate course standards and drive long-term improvement.

Over the next few weeks, Daniel will work alongside our current Course Superintendent, our Course Convenor and greenkeeping staff and will officially step into his new role on 5th January 2026.

Now taking on the role of Course Superintendent at Killymoon Golf Club, Daniel sees exciting potential for growth. With strong infrastructure in place, including the adoption of robotic mowing technology and plans for course enhancements, he is focused on pushing Killymoon to an even higher level. He welcomes the challenge and is committed to helping the club continue to progress and stand out as a premier parkland venue.
