The forecast is showing heavy rain overnight. Both the amount and timing of this rainfall will determine tomorrow's course status. If the rain clears in the early hours, the course may be playable from the first tee time. However, if it continues for longer, we may need to delay the start until the course is playable. Fingers crossed this isn't the case but, If the rainfall is worse than forecast, it could result in the course being closed for the day. The greenkeeping team will update the course status as early as possible in the morning.
Looking ahead, the forecast for Saturday night into Sunday also suggests very wet weather. This may impact Sunday’s course status or, even if the course is open, could deter players from taking part in the Canada Cup competition. We will monitor the forecast closely over the next 24 hours and will update everyone at the Men’s Dinner tomorrow evening regarding whether Sunday’s competition will proceed.
