Work Due to Start Again
We Eventually got There
After Weeks of Discussion with the Local Authorities and Ecologists, we have been given the go ahead to start works again on the 5th/14th Fairway. The Hampshire Ecologist met with the Brent Geese & Wading Birds Steering Group to discuss our situation and all agree that the sooner we finish the better for all involved, including the Geese.
Wittering (our contractor) hopes to remobilise and have his machines back on site this Wednesday, weather permitting of course.
Please be patient if you are out on the course and the machines are being driven through the gate, these are big pieces of equipment and could take a few goes to get through.
In the next few weeks Ground works should be complete and our Seeding Contractor (AMS Contracting) can get started with surveys, drainage and seeding works.
We are hoping to meet with AMS in the next week or so to discuss the required works and timelines and as soon as we know a clearer picture we will let you all know.
