Dear Members,
We are writing to you today with an important update regarding the management team here at Gosport & Stokes Bay Golf Club.
Our Club Manager, Sue has formally shared her decision to step down from her role. Her resignation was received on Wednesday, and her final day with us will be Friday, 27th February.
On behalf of the Committee and the entire membership, we wish to extend our sincere gratitude to her for her many years of service and dedication to the club. She has been a fixture of our daily operations for a long time, and we wish her every success in her future endeavours.
The Committee recognises that this transition comes at a pivotal moment for our club. We are already "on the road" to identifying a replacement who can build upon our heritage while driving the modernisation and revenue growth necessary to secure our future.
Our recruitment search will focus on finding a leader with the vision to enhance our marketing, expand our function offerings, and leverage the unique assets of our course—from our historic military legacy to the "unrivalled panoramic views of the Solent" that our location provides.
Please be assured that the Committee will be working closely with Sue in her final weeks to ensure a thorough handover.
We will take this opportunity to review and improve our internal processes to move the club toward a more stable and prosperous financial position.
