About the Tolly Cobbold Cup
A Suffolk Golf Union knockout competition for golfers with a Handicap Index of 8.1–16.0.
• Teams of eight, playing foursomes matchplay.
• Each tie is 36 holes in one day.
Scoring
• Scoring is by total holes won, not matches.
• Every hole counts, and all 36 holes must be played.
• The team with the highest cumulative holes won goes through.
Venues
• Early rounds are home or away.
• The semi-final and final are at a neutral venue.
Season Timing
• First round: May.
• Final: late August.
