Course Update, Captain's Charity Event, Snooker Competition, App Update
Course Update
As you can imagine, following all the recent rainfall, the course is reasonably waterlogged. We anticipate that it is 48 to 72 hours of dry weather away from being playable. Unfortunately, despite tomorrow's daytime weather looking good, there is more rainfall forecast tomorrow night into Thursday and Thursday night into Friday. Frustratingly, if this forecast is accurate it will rule out the course being open this side of the weekend. I will update members further towards the end of the week when we will have a clearer idea of the forecast for the weekend and into next week.
Captain's Charity Event - 1st March
Ian Stoneham has organised a Team Texas Scramble competition for Sunday 1st March to raise money for his charity The Golf Foundation. This will be the last chance for Ian to raise money during his Captain's year. Full details about the competition are on the poster attached with today's latest news email. If you would like to enter, please email your team details to teetimes@bognorgolfclub.co.uk. As it is a shotgun start, the draw for starting holes will be published on Thursday 20th February, so please send your requests in before this date.
Snooker Competition
An update from Colin Chart (Snooker Organiser). The deadline date for the matches to be played in the Snooker competition is 31st March. Please ensure you have played your matches before this date.
Also, Colin is organising a summer snooker competition. You can add your name to the entry sheet on the notice board in the Snooker Room if you would like to enter.
App Update
Further to my update on Friday, we do still have the problem with the tee sheets on the new HowDidiDo app. Club Systems ensures me they are looking into this as a matter of urgency, but as of yet they don't not have a fix for it. A reminder that you can still access the tee sheets via the Club V1 Members Hub in the meantime. I appreciate this isn't ideal but, I am pushing Club Systems as much as I can to get this sorted for us.
