Flower Beds
The new flower beds will be classed as "no play zones"
This week, flowers will be going into the beds that have been prepared for them at various points around the course. The related new local rule is this:
All flower beds created and maintained on the course are classed as No Play Zones. Players must take mandatory free relief if a ball is lying in the soil area or on a plant within the bed. Additionally, if any part of the bed or its contents interfere with the player’s area of intended stance or swing, similar free relief must be taken. Such relief should be taken by dropping the ball within one club length of the nearest point of relief, no nearer the hole.
