Jim Davidson was second finishing on 37 points, with a steady front nine, out in 38 giving him 17 points and he upped his game on the back nine shooting par 35 and 20 points including a fine birdie 3 at the 14th. Well done Jim for shooting the lowest scratch score of the day with a 73.
Three players were tied on 36 points, Willie Heeps, Steven Starritt and Stephen Burns, but it was Willie who claimed the bragging rights for third place on a better back nine countback, scoring a fine 20 points, which included the only two of the day at the 15th
So, after two rounds the top five “aggregate scores” on the leaderboard are :
Willie Heeps 68 points
Steven Starritt 68 points
Robert Smith 67 points
Stephen Burns 66 points
Kevin Cogan 66 points
Thanks to all 32 players for their efforts yesterday and remember still four rounds to go to get your best three aggregate scores from. All to play for in Round 3.
