Over 55's Mixed Open - Pair Needed
We have an odd number of pairs playing in the Over 55's Mixed Charity Open competition on Thursday 14th May. Therefore, we would like a Bognor pair to play in the event to mark a card for one of our visiting pairs. If you would like to play, please reply to this email to let us know.
Lost Wedge
A Cobra 54' wedge was lost on the course earlier this week. If you picked it up and forgot to hand it in, please can you let the Pro Shop know.
Quiz Report
Hicko’s Early Summer Quiz
When the jolly, competing teams gather for Quiz Night, there is an air of friendly rivalry and good humour as most prefer to keep their lights under a bushel. They claim ignorance of all facts, while secretly hoping that the 50 items of general wonder inside their heads comes in the form of a question.
Well, the results for Friday Night’s attraction must have had the right ingredients as the first 6 teams were within 8 points of each other. A very close-run thing but only one winner for the metaphorical cigar. Names cannot be printed for tax purposes but the brainiest bunch were King’s College Elmer, hotly pursued by the Dewkins just pipping Us Four in the final tally.
The scoring was beautifully worked by Wendy and Chris Johnson who form the pinnacle of Quiz maintenance and really deserved their round of applause.
The food was superb and Cat and her team ensured that all were fuelled up with great Curry or Lasagne. Yummy.
A really enjoyable evening with good humour all round and great happiness abounding when the penny dropped and a point secured.
Well done everyone and see you next time on the 2nd October.
Cheers President Hicko
