Longcliffe Past Captains

Longcliffe Past Captains travelled to Willesley Park to play for the Friendship Trophy. With the weather forecast not looking good and travelling over in torrential rain, we were in for a wet day. However, by our first tee time of 11:00 am, the rain had stopped, the sun came out, and it turned into a lovely day.
After the first four games, the match stood at two games each, so it came down to our last pair, John Price and Paul Argument. They finished all square, so the match finished 2½ games each. Therefore, Longcliffe retained the trophy.
The trophy was presented to Dave Vosper by Willesley President David Elasm.
