Dear Members,
As many of you will have seen, this year’s prolonged dry weather has created some extremely challenging conditions for golf courses across the country.
The R&A has produced a short video which explains some of the difficulties that clubs and greenkeeping teams are facing as a result of the drought, including the impact on turf health, water management and overall course presentation.
We would encourage members to take a few minutes to watch the video:

Our Greenkeeping Team continues to work extremely hard to manage the course through these conditions, making careful decisions to protect the long-term health and quality of the playing surfaces. We greatly appreciate your patience, understanding and support for the team during what has been a particularly demanding season.
### Course Renovation Week
A polite reminder that **this week is our Greens and Course Renovation Week**.
Throughout the week, the team will be carrying out an extensive programme of essential aeration and renovation work across the greens and other areas of the course. This work is vital to maintaining healthy turf, improving drainage and encouraging stronger root development, helping us to produce better and more resilient playing surfaces in the months ahead.
During this period, we would be grateful if members could **give priority to the Greenkeeping Team and machinery at all times**. There may occasionally be some disruption to play while work is completed, and your patience will help the team carry out the programme safely and efficiently.
Thank you for your continued understanding and for supporting the Greenkeeping Team as they work to protect and improve the course.
