Captain's Day Prizes We still have a few unclaimed raffle prizes in the office from Captain's Day. Attached is the results sheet that shows the winning raffle ticket numbers that were unclaimed from the day, some of these have since been collected. Dog Walking on the Course We wanted to send a quick reminder regarding dogs and general access to the golf course. Members are welcome to bring their dogs with them whilst playing golf, provided that dogs are kept on a lead at all times. Note - only assistance dogs are allowed in the clubhouse. However, membership does not provide general access to use the golf course for recreational walking or dog walking. If members are walking through the Club's land when they are not playing golf, they must remain on the designated public footpaths, in the same way as members of the public. There are a couple of important reasons for this. Firstly, the course remains in play throughout the day and golfers will not necessarily expect people to be walking across fairways or other areas of the course. Remaining on the recognised footpaths therefore helps to reduce the risk of somebody being struck by a golf ball. Secondly, we continue to experience problems with members of the public leaving the public footpaths and walking across the course, often with dogs. If non-members see others walking freely around the course, they have no way of knowing whether they are Club members and can understandably assume that they are also permitted to do so. We therefore need the support of members in setting the right example. This isn't a change in policy, simply a reminder and clarification of the arrangements that are already in place. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
