Bunkers
Please Leave the Bunkers as You Would Wish to Find It
We have received a number of comments from members regarding the condition in which some bunkers are being left after play. It is extremely frustrating for a following player to find their ball sitting in a footprint or other area of disturbed sand left by a previous group. After you have played from a bunker: Please rake and smooth all areas of disturbed sand, including your footprints as you enter and leave the bunker. The bunkers rakes are designed for a pushing stroke which avoids leaving ridges. This is a small courtesy and taking a few more seconds when raking the bunker makes a significant difference to the enjoyment of the course for everyone. Where should the rake be left? We are also receiving comments about rakes being left in positions where they can affect a ball entering or travelling through a bunker. To provide consistency for everyone, rakes should be placed in the centre of bunker, lying flat and parallel to the line of play where reasonably practicable. Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us maintain the course to the standard we all want.
