Local Rule changes
Winter 2026
Following discussions between the Golfing Committee (which includes representatives of each section) and the Greens Director, Head Greenkeeper and Golf Professional, changes have been made to some local rules which will come into force on Thursday 1st October 2026.
These changes allow for placing on fairways and closely mown areas, introduce a drop zone for the 7th/16th green, address the widlfower areas and tree nursery area. They also cover the use of winter mats and clarify buggy and trolley use.
The specific details are attached and have also been posted on relevant notice boards and are in the Professional's Shop.
