Please note, due to the drought conditions we have endured over summer and to protect the course we have made the decision to put preferred lies in play on closely-mown areas (6 inches no nearer the hole) from tomorrow, Thursday the 1st of October. A player is entitled to prefer the lie of their ball when a it lies on a closely-mown area through the green. A closely-mown area is any area of the course that is cut to fairway height or less. If the ball does not lie on a closely-mown area e.g. the rough the player cannot take a preferred lie. Course Care The use of Golf Trolleys and Buggies - Please make sure if you use a Buggy an electric trolley or a push trolley that you adhere to the following: Keep off Greens & Tees. Keep off the Fringes of the Greens. Don't take your trolley in-between bunkers and the green. Use paths when possible. Avoid taking your trolley through/ over blue lined areas of the course. Practice Area Divots must be filled in when practicing using the soil and seed provided. If using the 1st Green on the Bowshaw Course to practice please make sure that any shots are played from no more than 30 yards out (No further than the fairway bunker) and that all pitch marks/ divots are repaired immediately.
