YUGC Senior Club Team Championship
Congratulations KGC Senior Team
A huge well done to Ian Backhouse, Dean Sleight, Steve Bradley & Ivor Roy, who represented Knaresborough Golf Club in the YUGC Senior Club Team Championship.
Our goals for the season were simple:
Goal 1: Win Division 2 and gain promotion.
Goal 2: Compete in Division 1 and secure our place for next season.
We're delighted to say that the team achieved both! Finishing an outstanding 6th place out of 27 teams means KGC will remain in Division 1 for the 2027 season.
With only the top 18 teams retaining their place, to finish 6th in such a strong field is a fantastic achievement and a testament to the dedication and quality of our players.
Congratulations Ian, Dean, Steve & Ivor on a superb performance and for flying the flag for KGC so proudly.
