Course Update – Autumn & Winter
We are now starting to prepare areas around the courses for recovery, particularly around tees and greens and on the winter course holes.
The process involves scratching the bare and dry areas before applying seed. Although it may look like little is happening initially, the seed will sit in the dry ground until we get significant rainfall. With shorter days and cooler nights approaching, this is our last opportunity to improve these areas before winter.
Please Respect Roped-Off Areas
Shorter staked roped-off areas: Please keep trolleys and buggies off, although these areas can be walked on.
Longer staked roped-off areas: These are to reduce all traffic, including foot traffic.
Please also remember:
Do not take trolleys between greenside bunkers.
Keep trolleys and buggies as far away from greens and tees as possible.
Please repair pitchmarks and divots and respect all roped-off areas.
Autumn and winter golf requires a slightly different mindset. The way we treat the course during these months has a direct impact on its condition and, ultimately, the quality of your golf next year.
Help Us Make the Most of Tee Times
We are currently seeing a lot of single-player bookings during key periods.Where possible, please consider joining another member or inviting someone to play with you to create a 3- or 4-ball. This will help keep more tee times available for other members, particularly as the available daylight hours reduce.
Thank you for helping us protect the courses and make the most of the tee sheet this autumn and winter.

New Drone Footage Coming Soon
We had some more drone footage taken on 2 October for the website. Keep an eye on the Barnham Broom website for new videos and still photographs showcasing the courses and the work that goes on behind the scenes.
The footage includes the complete process of changing a hole on a green from start to finish, along with some of the mowing and maintenance work carried out by the team.
