Preferred Lies
Preferred Lies from 1st Oct to 30th April
Members are reminded that under the Club's current Local Rules, Preferred Lies may be taken in the General Area, which includes fairways, semi-rough and rough.
However, the ball must be placed within 6 inches, no nearer the hole, and remain in the same type of area from which it was lifted. For example, a ball lifted from the rough must be placed in the rough.
Preferred Lies do not apply in bunkers, penalty areas or on putting greens.
The Club's current Local Rules are available in the Documents section of the HDID App and members are encouraged to familiarise themselves with them before play.
