Dear all, Many thanks to everyone who played in the first Captain v Vice Captain event yesterday. 58 players competed as 2 teams in 15 matches of 9 holes of 4BBB matches followed by 29 matches of singles with a shotgun start. A little different and mildly chaotic at the start, but great feedback from everyone so we will be making this an annual social event. Thanks to John McHugh whose idea this was and for the work putting it together. Thanks also to Bobby Hogg who spent a long day administering the event. All entry money went out in prizes or covered the rolls and coffee at half time, but we did make £350 from the raffle which will be spent on something for the club/course ...to be confirmed what that is. The result was incredibly close with the scores tied with 1 match to come in. That match was a win for the Captains team so the final score was 22.5 to 21.5. The winning team got a sleeve of balls ProVs, Tour soft or Tour Response. If you did not get yours as you had to leave, please let us know there are a couple of sleeves left.
